This was a custom for a client with a large family. They purchased a 1.5 acre lot in a more rural suburb, and had very specific vision for the style of the home. Our client wanted a house that reflected her love of rustic styling, but well edited. We used a variety of color on the cabinetry, but used more saturated colors to be able to age well as the children grow up, and not feel too young. Initially our client wanted a navy blue island in the kitchen but was unsure of it. As a pivot, we offered the green island, in a great jewel tone and it ended up being beautiful & a nice focal point to the open living space on the main floor. White painted brick and pecan-stained cedar accents complete the exterior, along with soft lighting that makes the house glow at night.
